Minor Surgery

Minor surgery is any surgical procedure that does not involve anaesthesia or respiratory assistance, during the surgical procedure. It is a medical procedure done under Local Anaesthesia. Only the local anaesthetic will hurt when it is being put in. After that, the procedure is pain free.

Minor surgery is performed at this practice on Thursday, between 9am – 12 noon & 1pm – 4pm. Please book a prior appointment, to see the Doctor.

How long does it take?

It depends on the condition treated. Typically, a lesion being removed by electrocautery will take 10-15 minutes. Anything needing excision and stitches afterwards will be up to half an hour or more. If you have multiple lesions, it has to be treated in two or three sessions. Dr. Solomon will advise you at the initial consultation. Prior to having the Minor surgery, Dr. Solomon will conduct a full examination, to determine if there are any problems.
